Saffron Apartments is an inner city residential high rise tower on Adelaide Terrace. It consists of 154 apartments, undercroft car park and 1,500m² of commercial office space. The building’s lower levels house a business centre, gymnasium, swimming pool, heated external spa and over an acre of perfumed gardens and amenities.
The glazing façade was challenging for this project. To achieve the by-fold window system specified by the client, Diploma used an Alspec system, which has only been used on one other high rise project in Australia. The system proved to be very successful.
Through our valuable engineering processes, we were able to finalise the structural design and finishes whilst maintaining build ability, within budget and programme constraints.
