Rise Apartments, on Adelaide Terrace, is a 25 level building containing 72 residential apartments and a ground level commercial tenancy. It features the timeless architecture of acclaimed architects Lawrence Scanlan & Associates.
Diploma introduced an innovative tunnel system from Europe as part of their value engineering programme for this project.
The multi-storey formwork system maintains the same dimensional set-out for both the stair and lift cores. This provides a quicker floor cycle time and considerably reduces cranage. The system can be reused on other projects.
Transportation of the tunnel system and difficult site access posed challenges for the project team. Oversized loads, Main Roads permits, and restricted travel times in the CBD required careful planning and preparation. |
