Maymont Apartments is a high quality 3-level mixed use development in a prime location, commissioned by a renowned boutique developer.
The project will consist of 42 residential apartments and 16 commercial tenancies. The structure comprises reinforced concrete floors with some post tension beams. The roof is constructed with a low pitch metal roof cover and has eaves with feature detail. Precast light weight concrete moulds are used to replicate the existing façade styles.
Major construction challenges for this project include maintaining and restoring the existing heritage buildings and façade, using a recently developed proprietary AFS wall system, and achieving the latest acoustic requirements for multi use developments.
Diligent programme planning and careful coordination of service trades have leveraged the new wall construction system to save time.
