The Knoxville Office Development is a 14 level commercial office tower located on Hay Street, Perth. The 5 star green star energy rated building has an area of 15,000m², consisting of 13 office levels, a basement service area, and a roof plant room.
The slabs comprise a post-tensioned concrete framed building and a fully glazed façade curtain wall with integrated louvers. The lift core allows flexible arrangement of the office space and the plant room is steel clad.
The building is constructed over an existing heritage structure and an existing basement car park. Diploma worked closely with the designers to redesign complex structural modifications in the existing basement and heritage structures. These design changes yielded dramatic savings on the programme and enabled Diploma to complete the site months ahead of schedule.
