Diploma recently undertook a 5 star energy rated building in Perth for our client, Stockland. During construction, Stockland asked us to upgrade the building design to achieve a 6 star rating — the highest rating of any project in Australia.
Diploma has the capability to Design and Construct energy rated buildings from the clients brief with the credentials for state of the art design. As a result, Diploma has successfully delivered the following energy rated developments:
- Garden Office Park: 4 level office development with a 4.5 Star energy rating.
- Ord Street: a 4.5 Star energy rated office building with a leaseable area of 3500m2.
- Knoxville Office Development: 15,000m2 of office space over 13 levels with a 4.5 Star energy rating.
- Walters Drive: a 4.5 Star energy rated office building featuring office space over 3 levels.
Throughout these sustainable developments, new and improved environmental solutions have been utilised and adapted during the design stage for the betterment of the building and the clients conceptual design. These techniques include the use of chilled beams, fully automated louvre systems, glazing designs and orientation of architectural features.
